Summer Movies 2022: 8 Movies Worth Watching This Summer

Wipe off the cobwebs, read this review, and choose your favorite movies for the summer of 2022. The COVID-19 restrictions are almost nil, and the theaters are open. So, what is new for the summer? This list includes a little something for everybody.

Jurassic World: Dominion

Jurassic World: Dominion brings you laughter, terror, and excitement all at the same time. Imagine sharing the planet with prehistoric predators. Will this tenuous balance dictate the future? Will it determine whether humanity continues to be the apex predator on a planet it now shares with the most horrifying creatures?
The film stars Chris Pratt and Jeff Goldblum in a setting four years after the destruction of Isla Nublar. Prehistoric animals now hunt and live alongside humans on land, sea, and in the air all over the world.

This almost two-and-a-half-hour movie will give you Chris Pratt at his best and a wide cast of dinosaurs by “spy thriller adventure.” This trilogy’s premiere date is fast approaching, and fans are enthusiastic about a new Jurassic World film.

However, they are also curious whether this will be the final installment. Technically, yes. A trilogy means Jurassic World: Dominion is the last film. This concludes the Jurassic World trilogy, as well as the Jurassic Park trilogy that preceded it. So, if you have not already, go catch up on the two previous movies and prepare for June 10, 2022.

Eraser: Reborn

This American direct-to-video action film is a remake of the 1996 action film Eraser, with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Vanessa Williams. The plot revolves around a secret agency specializing in faking witnesses’ deaths without leaving a trace.

The film stars Dominic Sherwood, a British actor, and model well known for his roles in Vampire Academy, Shadowhunters. The cast includes Jacky Lai, Eddie Ramos, and McKinley Belcher III.

Dominic Sherwood plays a marshal specializing in “erasing” high-risk witnesses by faking their deaths. With technological advances in the past 25 years, the game has evolved. The day begins as a regular day at work when Rina Kimura, the crime boss’s wife, turns over evidence to the state. As they flee to Cape Town, South Africa, with vicious assassins on their tail, Pollard realizes he has been set up. Under fire, double-crossed, he must be at his best, or he will be permanently erased.

Sea Beast

This film will capture the hearts of the young and the young at heart. It follows the adventures of a legendary sea monster hunter, Jacob Holland. Jacob’s journey, however, takes a turn for the worse when he finds a stowaway on his ship.

During an era when monsters ruled the seas, monster hunters were celebrated as heroes, and Jacob Holland was one of the most beloved. But when young Maisie Brumble sneaks aboard his ship, he finds himself with an unexpected ally. She befriends the fiercest of the beasts. Together, they set sail into uncharted waters and made history. Some of the voices include Zaris-Angel Hator as Maisie, Dan Stevens, Karl Urban, and Marianne.

The Black Phone

This American supernatural horror film puts a new twist on “never talk to strangers”. This film takes us back to 1978 in a suburban Colorado town where five children went missing. After that, Finney Shaw, a timid but savvy teenage boy, is kidnapped by a vicious killer. Ethan Hawke stars in the role of the killer, while Mason Thames makes a feature film debut as Finney.

Finney is locked in a soundproof basement, where screaming is pointless. In trying to escape, he finds a disconnected phone and discovers that it transmits the voices of the killer’s former victims. When the disconnected phone begins to ring on the wall, Finney realizes he can hear the previous victims of the killer. They do not wish for Finney to suffer the same fate as they did, so they try to help him escape. Meanwhile, Finney’s sister experiences recurring visions that may lead her to him.

Thor: Love and Thunder

In this epic movie, we get to see Thor (Chris Hemsworth) after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Thor takes the time to reflect on the huge loss in the war and come to an understanding of himself. So, he embarks on an adventure unlike any other – a quest for inner peace. But, his adventure is interrupted by a galactic killer who is bent on destroying the gods.

All-time favorite Christian Bale plays Gorr the God Butcher. To battle the threat, Thor enlists Korg, King Valkyrie, and his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster to help. As a team, they embark on a grueling journey to bring to light the mystery of the God Butcher’s revenge and find a way to stop him. Set to premiere after July 4, this Marvel favorite will give the audience time to reflect as well for a short while.

Nope

From the director behind Get Out, comes Jordan Peele, who wrote, directed, and produced Nope. This is a horror film that brings horror, fear, and laughter together in a unforgettable mystery. It focuses on the residents of an isolated town in California who witness the occurrence of an abnormal and mysterious event. Nope stars Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer as James and Jill Haywood, along with Steven Yeun from Walking Dead.

Bullet Train Movie

This summer, get ready for an action-thriller aboard a high-speed train in Bullet Train. Ladybug, a trained killer, wants to give up, but Maria Beetle pulls him back in to pick up a briefcase on a bullet train going from Tokyo to Kyoto. Five assassins are dispatched to board a high-speed train traveling through modern-day Japan. However, later the assassins realize they have a common goal, namely to steal a briefcase, which pits them against one another. Brad Pitt headlines a cast of diverse, eclectic assassins, each with a unique mission in a film set against a backdrop of Japan.

The film is a wild, delirious action-thriller that includes a star-studded group of actors. Some of these actors include Sandra Bullock as “Maria Beetle, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as “Tangerine, and Joey King as “Prince. The release date is set for July.

Secret Headquarter

This is an upcoming American superhero film about boy named Young Charlie Kincaid. Charlie discovers a secret headquarters in the basement of his home. This lead him to believe his father is a superhero, so tells his friends about his belief. The boys began to imagine that the father is living a double life. The film features all-time favorites Owen Wilson, Michael Peña, and Jesse Williams. The movie will be released in theaters by Paramount Pictures in August.
